    Energy drinks are all the rage these days. They are advertised on television, they sponsor sports events and I have even seen them advertised on vehicles. And it seems like people are always looking for something that will pick them up. Since everybody is drinking these pick-me-up beverages, they must be good for you.     What these drinks contain as ingredients varies, but the most common ingredients are vitamins, caffeine and sugar. Vitamins are a good thing and caffeine is not bad as long as you do not over do it. It is the sugar that is the problem and most of these drinks are loaded with it. They can contain as many as 200 calories or more and you have to decide if the benefits that you derive from drinking energy drinks are worth the excess calories.

    You can actually get the same benefits from taking vitamins or drinking a cup of coffee without all of the extra calories. The best bang for your buck is to try to find a water flavoring that will meet your needs. There are many of these available today and water has no calories and adding flavoring usually has very few calories. You do have many choices today for energy drinks and they are not created equal. Only you can decide what it going to work best for you.

    There are many new products on the market today and some of them do have value, but the majority of them do something that is better done naturally. If you are looking for energy, the best way to get it is to eat a balance diet. Limiting the amount of sugar, carbs and fat and increasing the fruits and vegetables in your diet is the best way that you can increase your energy. Exercising regularly is something else that is essential to energy. If you live unhealthy, there really isn’t a whole lot that will boost your energy for more than a short period of time.
